The 8M heads approximately 0.6M south on the path and then turns right to go up the curving path to the Route 378 bridge.
There is an aid station at the top of this hill.
^The 8M then continues across the Route 378 bridge (on the sidewalk) and stays on the sidewalk to when Burden merges to 1st St, and continues onto 2nd Street.
Follow 2nd Street 1.6 miles to the finish.
When the rides separate at 4.6 miles, the 16M continues straight
16M: After separating at 4.6 miles, the 16M continues straight, and then turns right when it reaches the Schuyler Flats.
Take the path out to Route 32/Broadway and then turn right, heading 2 miles south towards Albany.
At 7.36m, turn left onto Simmons and an immediate right onto Canal Road.
Follow that (name changes to Erie Blvd) and then turn left at Colonie Street to enter the Albany Boat Launch (Corning Preserve.)
Turn left to head north (river will be on your right) - Aid Station #1 is in this parking lot (9.35M.)
Continue nearly 4 miles; just after going under Route 378, turn left to go up the hill (this is the exact spot where the 8M turns right to go up the hill).
