Beethoven’s Ninth:
A Choral Spectacular

Thrill to Beethoven’s greatest masterpiece when Albany Pro Musica joins the orchestra for the stirring choral
Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, one of the best known works in all music history. It incorporates “Ode to Joy”, a poem by Friedrich Schiller, with text sung by soloists and chorus. This was the first example of a major composer using the human voice on the same level with instruments in a symphony. A new work by Dorothy Chang adds a contemporary touch to the program.
