  The Orchestra
The Albany Symphony Orchestra is one of this region’s oldest and most revered music and cultural organizations, having won numerous national awards for its adventurous programming of contemporary music and innovative educational efforts involving area schools for more than 72 years.

We are the oldest and only professional symphony orchestra based in the Capital Region, serving more than 150,000 persons within a 75-mile radius covering more than seven counties and parts of three states.

The ASO continues to lead all other orchestras in the promotion and performance of adventurous American repertoire for an audience of committed and open-minded listeners.

  Special Occasions:
The ASO office maintains a list of players who perform in ensembles for educational programs, weddings, receptions, and other special occasions. Private instrumental lessons are also available.

Please call 518-465-4755 for information.
