The Albany Symphony Orchestra is committed
to the live presentation and recording of top quality musical programming,
with an emphasis on the creation and promotion of contemporary
or overlooked American works and its dissemination to a broad-based
regional audience from all cultural and economic backgrounds. Through
its many creative and innovative education, outreach and repertoire
building programs, the ASO will lead the way nationally in inventing
a viable, vibrant and flexible prototype for the “American Orchestra of the
