Dogs
of Desire:
The
Albany Symphony presents the Dogs of Desire "The
Great Explorers Concert” conducted by David Alan
Miller. The 18 piece “amplified orchestra of the
future” will present a concert of four new world
premieres and four previously commissioned pieces, all
celebrating exploration as expressed in the lives and
adventures of great explorers and other voyages of discovery.
Composers of these premiere pieces include Evan Hause,
Luis Tinoco, David Mallamud, and Dan Visconti. The Dogs
play only commissioned work, written especially for the
ensemble. The Dogs have been performing for over 10 years
and have commissioned over 100 new works. |
