Meet the Maestro
During the weeks preceding a Sunday Symphony concert, Maestro Miller personally visits area schools and talks to students about the coming performance. Appearing in costume, the maestro applies his trademark imagination and enthusiasm to an unforgettable music lesson that both engages and entertains youngsters, exposing them to the lure of classical music.
Maestro’s knowledgeable and outgoing personality turns music education into a magical adventure, complementing and supplementing their music education. During this 40-minute program, Maestro Miller teaches students about rhythm, and beat as well as the different families of the orchestra. Maestro Miller also instructs students how to become a conductor of their very own orchestra. Since “Meet the Maestro” began, Maestro Miller has spoken to over 55,000 students. |
