  Meet the Musician
In a 40-minute program, an Albany Symphony Orchestra musician will talk to high school music students about the practicalities of careers in music.
 
Topics addressed will include:
 
At what age should one start playing an instrument
 
People who influence career choices
 
Advantages and disadvantages of a music career
 
Educational route to a career in music
 
Typical work schedules
 
The musician will perform excerpts from an upcoming ASO concert and will answer students’ questions. (Meet the Musician is for Middle and High School students and is 40 minutes long).
