Maestro David Alan Miller is NYS PTA Featured Speaker

David Alan Miller, Conductor and Music Director of the Albany Symphony Orchestra, will be the featured speaker at the NYS PTA Convention’s Celebrating the Arts and Awards Session to be held on November 18, 2012 in Saratoga Springs. The National and New York State PTA have, for all of their existence, promoted the arts as an integral part of the education of all students and a component of excellence in education. Their Reflections Arts in Education program will be the focus at this session which highlights the creative works of students from throughout New York State. Miller will share with the attendees his experiences with the exploration of unusual repertoire, educational programming and community outreach and how they support the arts as an integral piece of the whole child.
