Forgiveness as a Path to Healing
Facilitated by Marc Bamuthi Joseph

Sunday, January 9, 2022

Convergence Curating Artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph returns to Albany for two workshops as part of his project, Forgiveness as a Path to Healing.

Storytelling Workshop with Marc Bamuthi Joseph - 3pm - 4:30pm

Discover your story—and how to tell it. Join dancer, poet and spoken-word artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph for an open workshop on identifying, crafting and sharing your story. (Everyone has one!) This event is free and open to the public. No experience necessary—this isn’t just for writers! All ages welcome; adults and kids middle school and up are encouraged to attend. Bamuthi will lead participants through prompts to create structured stores and connect to macro issues in the world.

Town Hall Discussion - 4:30pm - 6pm

Participate in a discussion facilitated by Marc Bamuthi Joseph with performing artists, writers, clergy, and other community leaders about forgiveness as we enter a new year and the opportunity for healing. Followed by fellowship and a light supper provided by Albany Symphony.
