Book Drive with The RED Bookshelf

Inside the Palace Lobby, Saturday, October 8

The RED Bookshelf is a non-profit community literacy program. Bring your gently used children's books (board books through young adult) to Opening Night to help support their mission of literacy in the Capital Region.

Composer Joel Thompson is well-known for his work, Seven Last Words of the Unarmed. This choral and orchestral work sets the final words of seven Black men who were killed by police or authority figures. Click here to learn more about the piece, and Thompson’s creative process.


 

Parking Information

$5 parking is available in the Quackenbush Garage at 25 Orange Street, Albany, NY 12207. The garage is just off Broadway, one block from the Palace Theatre.

Street parking is free after 5PM and on the weekends.
