Chamber Companion Series
New for the 2026/27 season
The Chamber Companion Series is a new four-concert initiative from the Albany Symphony, designed to complement the orchestra’s mainstage season. Each free concert, presented earlier in the same week as a corresponding Symphony performance, illuminates the composers, ideas, and broader civic context behind the music to come. Together, the concerts explore the themes, repertoire, and creative voices that run throughout the season, creating new points of entry into the orchestra for audiences of all backgrounds.
Through this series, the Albany Symphony continues its longstanding commitment to championing new music and building the future of our living musical heritage.
The Chamber Companion Series is made possible by a generous gift from Paula and Dana Oakes.
Pay-what-you-choose
We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy live music.
All Chamber Companion Series tickets are choose-what-you-pay. When you go to buy tickets, you’ll see four options, labeled A through D, from $10 to $45. Choose the one that feels right for you.
If you’re able to pay a little more, your generosity helps expand access to live music in the Capital Region. All proceeds from the Chamber Companion Series directly support the Albany Symphony.
Tickets for kids under 18 and students with ID are $5.
