Hear from "The Gilded Scholar" himself!

Headshot of Dr. Christopher Brellochs

Dr. Christopher Brellochs is Dean of the SUNY Schenectady School of Music and has been a music educator for over 25 years. He also played composer/conductor John Knowles Paine in an episode of HBO's The Gilded Age, as well as worked with the team on the historic accuracy of the show. His research specialty is "Music of the Gilded Age," in which Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Elgar's Enigma Variations both had their United States premieres.

At Crescendo Club, Dr. Brellochs will guide you through the music of the concert, as well as the surrounding history and culture. You'll gain deeper understanding of what the composers intended musically and emotionally through an immersive presentation in a small group setting.

Plus, connect with fellow music lovers over substantial bites before heading to the concert!
