Yamaha Performing Artist Eric Berlin also serves as Assistant Principal Trumpet of the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra and is a member of the Boston Modern Orchestra Project. In addition to his titled positions, he has performed most notably with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic and New York Philharmonic. 

Mr. Berlin has given recitals internationally and has appeared as a soloist with the Albany Symphony Orchestra, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki University Orchestra, Porto Alegre Symphony and Orquestra Criança Cidadã in Brazil as well as the US Coast Guard Band. 

A champion of the music of our time, he has commissioned, premiered and recorded numerous new works for trumpet which can be heard on his CDs on MSR Classics, Naxos and Albany Records. Stephen Paulus’ Concerto for Two Trumpets on Fantastique!, his release of all commissioned works with the UMass Wind Ensemble, received a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Classical Composition. 

The recording of George Tsontakis’ True Colors for Trumpet and Orchestra, which the ASO commissioned for Mr. Berlin, was honored as one of National Public Radio's Top Ten Classical Recordings of 2017. Christopher Rouse’s concerto Heimdall’s Trumpet is scheduled for release later in 2023. 

Mr. Berlin is Professor of Trumpet at the University of Massachusetts and lives with his all-American canine companion Chestnut in western Massachusetts. 


Eric LATINI

Eric Latini has been playing the Trumpet professionally since the age of 15.

He studied at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. Where he received his Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance. He has studied with Principal trumpeters from various orchestras, including the Boston Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. Eric currently performs with the Grammy award-winning Albany Symphony Orchestra and other Ensembles. He can be heard on various Tel-Arc, EMI, and Albany Record labels recordings. Mr. Latini has soloed and premiered many new works with the ASO. Eric has had the privilege to perform with some of the greatest artists of our time. Including Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, and Luciano Pavarotti. He is the Trumpet Professor at Skidmore College and maintains a busy schedule as a Freelance musician and Private teacher.

Eric currently resides in Colonie/Albany Pinebush.
